The IBF cruiserweight champion gave his verdict on this weekend's huge fight.

For a number of boxing fans, it does not get much better than the main event of Saturday's Riyadh Season card.

The headline attraction will see Artur Beterbiev and Dmitry Bivol finally go head-to-head for the undisputed light heavyweight title, and every second of this historic contest will be broadcast live on DAZN

Beterbiev vs. Bivol is a fight which many have been calling for over the past few years, and there are multitude of reasons why.

Opetaia vs. Massey fight card

  • Artur Beterbiev vs. Dmitry Bivol
  • Chris Eubank Jr. vs. Kamil Szeremeta
  • Fabio Wardley vs. Frazer Clarke
  • Jai Opetaia vs. Jack Massey
  • Ben Whittaker vs. Liam Cameron
  • Skye Nicolson vs. Raven Chapman
  • Mohammaed Alakel vs. Jesus Gonzalez

Firstly, it is putting two undefeated fighters, both who are at the top of their game in the light heavyweight division finally clash to decide who is the number one operator.

Secondly, the two styles present an intriguing chess match with Beterbiev's front foot, hard-hitting approach go up against the slick footwork of Bivol.

This has led to many experts and current fighters struggling to pick a winner, but IBF cruiserweight champion Jai Opetaia has managed to make his pick for who will get their hand raised on fight night.

"I keep going back and forth, I’m always leaning towards Bivol," Opetaia told The Stomping Ground

"Beterbiev is a great fighter, I’m just leaning towards Bivol because I respect the footwork.

"I’m more of a boxing style than a walk forward boxer.

"The person who is going to win is the one who is going to make minimum mistakes."

Opetaia will be featuring on the undercard for Beterbiev vs. Bivol when he defends his IBF title against Britain's Jack Massey, and if successful, a unification fight will likely come sooner rather than later for the Australian.
