Anthony Yarde and Joshua Buatsi are heading towards an exciting light-heavyweight clash this summer.
That’s the opinion of Ben Shalom, the promoter of Buatsi, who watched his man score a brilliant win over another British rival, Dan Azeez, earlier this month.
Now, Buatsi is eager to push on and test himself at a higher level, but obstructing his way is Anthony Yarde.
The former world title challenger has previously fallen short against Sergey Kovalev and Artur Beterbiev, but if he can get past Buatsi, he’ll likely get a third crack.
Shalom has provided an update on the situation.
"I do believe the Anthony Yarde fight is what both Boxxer and Queensberry want, and I believe that fight will happen in the next few months,” said Shalom when speaking to BBC.
"Buatsi wants to remain active. It's the biggest fight for both of them and then we can see the winner fight for a world title."
