Bernard Hopkins walked away from boxing in 2016 following a superb career that saw him win world titles in two weight classes.
The Philadelphia fighter, renowned for his incredible conditioning, fought well into his 40s and competed with some of the sport's best fighters.
Taking on some of boxing’s biggest names, Hopkins was able to defeat the likes of Roy Jones Jr, Oscar De La Hoya, and Felix Trinidad.
After years outside the ring, Hopkins can reflect on an incredible body of work, and he has named the fighter from his career who had the best defence.
“Winky Wright. He’s known for it,” said Hopkins when speaking to The Ring.
“I called him the turtle, ‘cause when a turtle feels danger, he sticks his head in and he’s safe until he sticks it out.”
