A big weekend of boxing is fast approaching as numerous fighters look to finish 2024 in style.
DAZN News takes a look at a number of high-profile bouts on Saturday night and what could play out when the action finally gets underway.
Liam Paro vs. Richardson Hitchins
Liam Paro will return to Puerto Rico on Saturday night, live on DAZN, as he looks to revisit the scene of his greatest performance to date.
Earlier this year, Paro upset huge odds to become world champion as he dominated Subriel Matias in his opponent's backyard.
The result instantly made Paro a major player at 140lbs, and his name continues to be linked to big fights against Devin Haney and Teofimo Lopez.
First up is Richardson Hitchins, and the unbeaten New Yorker is expected to present the Australian with a stern examination.
Paro has demonstrated he is capable of rising to the occasion no matter how tough the experience, but Hitchin's smoother approach may see him just fall short on the scorecards in what should be a closely fought affair.
Emanuel Navarette vs. Oscar Valdez
In a rematch from a 2023 encounter, two of boxing’s most entertaining fighters will put it all on the line for a second time this weekend in Arizona.
Emanuel Navarette was a clear winner when defeating Oscar Valdez last year, but he heads into this sequel on the back of a defeat, after losing to Denys Berenchyk at lightweight in May.
Navarette will be eager to prove a point back at super-featherweight, a division he knows well, and he begins this contest a huge favourite.
Valdez always give everything he has when he steps into the ring and that will be no different on Saturday night, but just like their first meeting, it probably won’t be enough against his fellow Mexican.
Brad Pauls vs. Denzel Bentley
Brad Pauls produced the performance of his career earlier this year when he stopped the hugely popular Nathan Heaney in the fight’s last round.
He will likely have to perform better this weekend when he goes in with former world title challenger, Denzel Bentley, and a world title shot in 2025 is a possible fight for the victor.
Pauls’ pressure against Heaney was very impressive but similar tactics against Bentley could see him walk into trouble.

The London man has 17 stoppages from 20 wins, and he enters this contest knowing full well he’s a capable operator at British level.
Bentley suffered a shock loss to Heaney in 2023, but he has responded well since that setback with two early stoppage wins.
He can maintain that decent form with a late stoppage over the popular Cornwall man.
