Billy Joe Saunders vs. Marcelo Esteban Coceres: Date, time, price, odds, how to watchDAZN
Will Saunders be successful in his first defense of the WBO super middleweight strap?

Billy Joe Saunders looked sharp in dismantling Shefat Isufi by unanimous decision to snatch the WBO super middleweight title in May.

Now, Saunders is back, making his first defense of the strap Saturday, Nov. 2, when he faces Marcelo Esteban Coceres at Staples Center in Los Angeles and live on DAZN. The title fight will serve as part of the KSI vs. Logan Paul 2 card between the rival YouTubers. The card also features Devin Haney, who's defending his WBC lightweight title vs. Alfredo Santiago.

It has already been a big year for Saunders, who's making his U.S. debut. On top of winning the WBO title, the 30-year-old signed with Matchroom Boxing this past August. At the time, Saunders spoke about the move and fighting on DAZN, which puts him on the same turf as Saul "Canelo" Alvarez and Gennadiy Golovkin, who also fight on the global sports streaming service.

"I’ve made this move to make them fights because I’m sick of hearing their bulls— excuses," Saunders said at the time. "Those fights make financial sense and they make sense because we’re on the same network. I will go where the big fights are and I can fluctuate between middle(weight) and super middle(weight). If the big fights are at middleweight then I’ll have them at middle. If they’re at super middleweight, then I’ll have them at super."

To move the needle toward that goal, Saunders will likely need a dominant showing against Coceres, who's also making his U.S. debut, having only fought in his native Argentina.
