Bob Arum had admitted that numerous big fights lie ahead for Teofimo Lopez if the New York man gets past Steve Claggett this weekend.
A successful defence for Lopez could open the doors to the likes of Ryan Garcia, Gervonta Davis, and Terence Crawford.
Arum, Lopez’s promoter who’s guided him to many memorable wins, believes that Brian Norman could be next for Lopez following the Claggett bout.
The American youngster is the current WBO interim champion at welterweight and that could be the ideal contest for Lopez if he decides to move up to 147lbs
“We’ve had Lopez all of his career, and I think there are a lot of big fights out there for him, but Claggett is not an easy fight for him,” said Bob Arum when speaking to Fighthype.
“I think that would be a good fight [Crawford] down the line, but the fight we make first is Teofimo against Brian Norman, who is the WBO welterweight at 147.”
