Bob Arum has dropped the clearest hint that Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk will face each other in a huge undisputed heavyweight clash early next year.
The veteran promoter, the man who handles Fury’s business in America, has revealed that talks are underway for the eagerly anticipated bout where all four world titles will be on the line.
Fury has spent the last few weeks trying to goad Anthony Joshua into a huge British showdown on December 3rd, but with that fight seemingly no longer possible, a unification clash with Usyk is on the horizon.
Arum, who’s constantly plotting the next move for Fury, is confident that a deal can be arranged with the talented Ukrainian.
“I keep in contact on virtually a daily basis with Egis Klimas, the manager of Usyk, because he's also the manager of fighters that we promote,” said Arum when speaking to Sky Sports.
"So, I always take a reading on this and Klimas said that in his discussion with potential sites, it would be the last week in February or the first week in March which would suit us all."
