Boxing legend Riddick Bowe still wants to fight a former world heavyweight champion: 'He still damn irks me'DAZN
There is only one man which would get the 56-year-old back in the ring.

Former world heavyweight champion Riddick Bowe enjoyed an illustrious 19-year career with his last fight being against Gene Pukall in 2008.

But while Bowe is considered one of the great heavyweight fighters, there were some dream matchups against the likes of Mike Tyson and Lennox Lewis which failed to get made.

There are some claims that Bowe ducked Lewis with the American vacating the WBC world heavyweight title in 1992 after Lewis was named the mandatory challenger for the title, however, Bowe was quick to dismiss these accusations in an interview with Dr. Beau Hightower

“I beat [Evander] Holyfield two times. How many times Lennox beat him? They went 1 and 1 and a draw," Bowe said.

"That goes to show you that I would have beat him no problem, I would have knocked the man down. He was next.”

Despite not facing each other at the peak of their powers, there is still some heat in the rivalry between these two former world champions, especially on Bowe's side after he declared that he would be willing to come out of retirement and face his nemesis.

"Lennox, I just don’t like him. He still damn irks me. Man, I’m ready to fight," Bowe concluded.
