Canelo Alvarez looked 'tired' against Dmitry Bivol says Gilberto 'Zurdo' RamirezDAZN
The light heavyweight contender spoke to The DAZN Boxing Show about Dmitry Bivol's win against boxing's pound-for-pound king.

Gilberto 'Zurdo' Ramirez, who returns to action on May 14 live on DAZN, believes Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez looked tired against the WBA light-heavyweight champion Dmitry Bivol this past weekend.

The Mexican looked to become a two-time champion at 175lbs on Saturday night, but failed to get past Bivol who dominated the 12-round contest and was declared the winner on the judges' scorecards.

Speaking to The DAZN Boxing Show, Ramirez believed Canelo's fast start did him no favours against Bivol in Las Vegas.

"It was sad for everyone, even for me as a fan and as a Mexican," Ramirez said when asked about the loss.

"He started too fast. He tried to rush it; at the end of the fight, he was tired.

"Everyone knew that he was tired, it didn’t look like he was comfortable."

Ramirez, who is ranked amongst the 10 best fighters at 175lbs, also expressed his desire to face Bivol if he manages to beat Dominic Boesel this coming Saturday.

"I’m always looking for the big fights," Ramirez stated.

"I was looking at Bivol for my last two fights.

"On May 14 I have business to take care of, but after that, no more running, let’s do it!"
