Dmitry Bivol has a plan in mind and that's why he'd be "happy" if Jermell Charlo walks out with his hand up tonight in Las Vegas.
In a few hours, Canelo Alvarez will step into the ring at the T-Mobile Arena and put the undisputed super middleweight championship on the line against Charlo in a fight that has raised great expectations, including that of the light heavyweight champion.
"It's going to be an interesting fight. I think Canelo should win. But I'll be happy if Charlo wins. I'm interested in a unification fight at 168," Bivol tweeted.
"I see him going forward and trying to finish him with one or two punches. Charlo will look to keep him at a distance and try to move," he told Fight Hub TV .
Bivol scored the biggest win of his career by defeating the Mexican fighter in May 2022. Despite attempts to clinch a rematch, they failed and since then the fighter himself has said it has been difficult to land his return.
In the negotiations with Canelo for the second bout, the possibility of Bivol dropping down to 168 pounds to fight for his second undisputed championship was discussed. However, it all fell through.
Will Bivol's prediction come true or Canelo will spoil their plans?
