Terence Crawford appeared to describe Tim Tszyu as ‘dangerous’ after the Australian put away Carlos Ocampos with the minimum of fuss.
The WBO interim champion made his first defence of the belt when he took on Carlos Ocamps on the Gold Coast in Australia, needing a minute and a half to score an impressive knockout win.
That led to the 28-year-old Australian calling for title fight up against Jermell Charlo, the undisputed champion at 154lbs.
An October 1 clash is expected, and after the fight, WBO welterweight champion wrote on Twitter: “He’s dangerous,” tweeted Crawford.
“I respect Crawford a lot,' Tszyu said of the remarks.
Crawford is due to fight fellow welterweight champion Errol Spence Jr. in their own undisputed match-up, with a rematch proposed for 154lbs, meaning Crawford, Charlo, Tszyu and Spence may face off down the line.
