The Puerto Rican is looking to stay busy.

Oscar Collazo is aiming to fight both Yudai and Ginjiro Shigeoka this year as he targets their respective strawweight belts.

The Puerto Rican is the WBO champion, while Yudai holds the WBC strap and his brother the IBF title.

With most of the year still to come, Collazo sees no reason why he can’t face off with them both.

“I really think it’s possible,” he told BoxingScene.com. “Everyone wants to see an undisputed champion in every division. I get asked all the time about fighting those guys.”

Thammanoon Niyomtrong (AKA Knockout CP Freshmart) is the WBA title champion but he last fought in the summer of 2022, so may not be an easy opponent to land.

Collazo, for his part, will probably have to make a mandatory defence in the coming months, but even that would allow room for at least one title scrap before the year is out.

“That’s what I really want, and I honestly think the Shigeoka brothers want to fight me too,” said Collazo.

“Hopefully Knockout CP Freshmart as well. But he don’t want to fight anybody, he can just give up that belt and make room for people who want to fight the best. We’re not here to waste time. I want to stay active and win all those belts.”
