Chris Billam-Smith insists that he does not "fight like a gentleman" despite his nickname ahead of a blockbuster clash with Gilberto Ramirez this weekend, live on DAZN .

Speaking ahead of the bout though, Billam-Smith insists there will be no courtesy in line with his nickname of The Gentleman when he meets the Mexican.
"I think it was just because I said please and thank you more than other people in the gym!" he told DAZN's Off the Cuff on the origins of his moniker.
"I like it because it's ironic. You can't really be a gentleman in the ring, and I don't fight like a gentleman. When I first started, I was sort of a light-heavyweight.
"But through the amateurs, I grew into 185lbs and then 200lbs. That was always going to be my weight division."
Billam-Smith will hope to defeat Ramirez, though whoever wins the contest appears likely to target Jai Opetaia as their next opponent.
The Australian is another leading cruiserweight, and unless either man steps up a division, remains the biggest opponent they could arguably meet next.
