Chris Billam-Smith feels his rematch victory over Richard Riakporhe has effectively scratched out his lone career loss ahead of his clash with Gilberto Ramirez, live on DAZN.
The Briton will headline Riyadh Season Latino Night in Saudi Arabia when he headlines a cruiserweight unification bout with the Mexican at The Venue on Saturday.
It will be the first time that Billam-Smith has fought since he defeated Riakporhe at Selhurst Park in June, to avenge the only defeat of his professional career to date.
Reflecting on his victory five months ago, the 34-year-old admitted that it was one of the most rewarding results of his career, and puts him in good stead to face Ramirez.
"It was very satisfying," he told DAZN's Off the Cuff. "Now I've beat every man I've faced. To win it so convincingly the second time around sort of scratches [that loss] out.
"I've always felt unbeaten, though my record suggests otherwise, and that's how I feel now. My confidence is sky high."
Both Billam-Smith and Ramirez arrive into their contest with just one loss apiece, holding 20-1 and 46-1 professional records respectively.
Zurdo's only career reverse came when he lost at light-heavyweight to Dmitry Bivol by unanimous decision in 2022, a bruising encounter that went the distance.
