Chris Eubank Jr. and Liam Williams set for December meetingDAZN
Britain's leading middleweights will face each other next month.

Chris Eubank Jr. and Liam Williams will finally settle their lengthy rivalry after agreeing to meet each other on December 11th in Cardiff. The middleweight pair, who have both fallen short at world title level, have been engaged in a war of words going back several years, and they’re set to find out who is the better fighter.

Williams, who has suffered defeats against Liam Smith and Demetrius Andrade when aiming to be a top-level fighter, will enjoy home advantage next month with the fight being staged in Cardiff. However, the Welshman is insistent he can join Billy Joe Saunders and George Groves by inflicting the third defeat of Eubank’s career.

"I'm very excited to get the fight made," said Williams to Sky Sports. "It's been coming for a long time. I can't wait to shut his mouth once and for all. There's nothing like a big domestic showdown to get the juices flowing.

"I’m really excited and just counting down the days. I’ve not been that impressed with Chris’ recent performances. People are talking about how he’s brought Roy Jones in to improve him, but if I’m being totally honest, I don’t think he’s improved one bit.”

Eubank is equally confident as Williams.

“Liam Williams has been saying a lot,” said the Brighton man. “It’s now got to the point where everyone is asking me to shut him up. On December 11th, I’m going to give the people what they want.”
