Chris Eubank Jr Is heading towards a big fight in the second half of 2021. That’s according to his promoter, Kalle Sauerland.
After defeating Marcus Morrison back in May, Eubank Jr was insistent in the aftermath that he wanted to compete at the top end of the sport and it appears that he may get his wish.
With the middleweight division simmering nicely with the likes of Gennadiy Golovkin, Jermall Charlo, and Demetrius Andrade all occupying lofty positions, Eubank Jr is spoilt for choice when identifying a marquee target. Sauerland has claimed that his next move is close to being confirmed.
"Eubank has got a massive, massive second half of this year," said Sauerland, Head of Global Boxing at Wasserman Boxing, to Sky Sports.
"He's obviously come back with that Morrison fight. We're sitting down now to work out the plan for the rest of the year. Is it one more fight, let's say at a domestic level? Do we go straight into the world title fight?
"There are lots of different discussions going on at the moment. Expect a big, big announcement in the next week to 10 days, I would say."
