Chris Eubank Jr has issued some advice to his trainer, Roy Jones Jr, ahead of his rematch with Liam Smith in June.
It was announced earlier this week that Eubank Jr will return to the scene of his devastating loss to Smith as he goes back to Manchester looking to gain revenge over the man who stopped him in four rounds at the start of 2023.
Despite the loss, Eubank Jr’s confidence doesn't appear to have been dented as the Brighton man talked up his chances at the fight’s first press conference.
After being stopped for the first time in his career, Eubank Jr doesn’t plan on it happening for a second time and he’s sent a warning to Jones Jr if his coach even thinks about stopping the fight.
“I will be telling Roy, from now on don’t ever bring a towel to any of my fights ever again,” said Eubank to the assembled media at press conference.
“Don’t even worry about wiping my brow if there’s sweat.
“Because, like I said, as a man who’s getting paid millions to fight each and every time he steps in the ring, I have a responsibility to take my beating if that’s what is gonna happen.”
