'Very soon!' - Chris Eubank Jr. promises imminent updates on Conor Benn battleMark Robinson/Matchroom Boxing

Chris Eubank Jr. has promised further updates on his long-awaited bout with Conor Benn "very soon" as the two men close in on finally settling their differences in the ring.

More than two years after the pair were originally meant to fight, the pair look set to finally exchange blows as discussions over a blockbuster British encounter continue to unfold.

The two have traded barbs since their clash was cancelled at short notice in October 2022, and Benn confronted Eubank Jr. after his win over Kamil Szeremeta last year.

Now, the latter feels that they are edging closer to news on what could be one of the fights of 2025, with Eubank suggesting that the new fight could be "three times as big".

"Very soon," he told The Stomping Ground. "It's been a long time coming. It's crazy to think this fight would have and should have happened two-and-a-half years ago.

"I went through a whole camp, a whole two or three months of preparation, for it to get cancelled two days before. Now we're here, and it's going to be three times as big.

"It's crazy how life works. There's extra everything. Now, it's not just about my dad and his dad. It's about me and him. There's a lot of bad blood, a lot of history now. It's exciting."

Eubank Jr and Benn's fathers Chris Eubank and Nigel Benn famously met in two blockbuster encounters during the peak of their powers, once in 1990 and then again in 1993.

On the first occasion, Eubank won with a ninth-round stoppage to take the WBO middleweight title, while their rematch was ruled as an infamous split-draw at Old Trafford.
