Undisputed women's middleweight champion Claressa Shields has made an offer to face unified women's light middleweight champion Natasha Jonas in the UK at some point in 2023.
Hot off the heels of her win over Savannah Marshall last October, Shields has her sights set on achieving more world title success on British shores and her promoter Dmitry Salita revealed that they now await a response from Jonas' camp after making the offer.
"We love the fight," Salita said when speaking to Sky Sports.
"The ball is in Natasha's court I know she talked about wanting to fight Claressa but has not stepped up to the plate to accept it after receiving an offer."
While Shields would be walking into another hostile atmosphere if a fight with Jonas can be made, this is something which Salita believes will not faze the self proclaimed 'GWOAT' after conquering Marshall on what was a historic night for boxing last year.
"Yes we love the UK boxing culture, it's fans and media," Salita stated.
"To come to UK for boxing is always a holiday."
