Claressa Shields was part of DAZN's broadcast team for Saturday's fight.

Unified women's middleweight champion Claressa Shields has ruled out the possibility of facing either Katie Taylor or Amanda Serrano.

Shields was at a sold-out Madison Square Garden on Saturday night to witness a historic moment for the sport with two women headlining a boxing event for the first time in the venue's history.

The fight itself delivered with Taylor retaining her undisputed women's lightweight title after beating Serrano on the judge's scorecards.

Shields, who makes up the pound-for-pound women's top 3 alongside both MSG headliners, joined DAZN after the fight and expressed her frustration about not being able to fight either woman.

"I would love to fight in a place like this, in half the atmosphere that it had tonight,” Shields said.

“But I really don’t think, with my skill set, that I have somebody that can challenge me in that way [in my division].

“The only thing that will happen is if I was to make 140 [pounds] and fight against Katie Taylor or Amanda Serrano. That’s the only big fight I would have. But I’m telling you now I can’t make 140.”

Shields is set for an undisputed title fight of her own with WBO middleweight champion Savannah Marshall.

The clash is scheduled to take place later this year, but Shields believes that the fight will not generate as much interest compared to Taylor vs. Serrano.

"The build-up with Savannah Marshall is big, but she’s not as decorated as Katie Taylor. I’m the decorated one. I’m the one who everybody knows," Shields claimed.

“I’m not trying to knock Savannah Marshall but… I’m a 12 time world champion. You cannot compare her to me. No Olympic gold medals, no Olympic medals, not even bronze. I’m way ahead of her.

“But if that’s what they want to say can beat me, I’m going to show up, I’m going to go to her country, I’m going to fight her, and I’m going to beat her. And I won’t be getting women’s Fight of the Year because I’m not having a close fight.”
