Conor Benn goes in on Kell Brook regarding former world champion's price demand

Conor Benn goes in on Kell Brook regarding former world champion's price demandDAZN
Conor Benn and Kell Brook is one of the biggest all-British fights that can be made.

Conor Benn has told domestic rival, Kell Brook, to “jog on” following the Sheffield fighter’s demands of £10m to face Benn later this summer. Brook, a boxer in demand due to his one-sided win over Amir Khan, is still considering his next move with retirement a possibility despite lucrative fights with Benn and Chris Eubank Jr on the table.

Benn, who faces Chris Van Heerden on April 16th in Manchester, exclusively live on DAZN (except Australia and New Zealand), is a fighter moving swiftly up the rankings and a showdown with Brook would provide him with a stern test. With his mind focused on his South African opponent later this month, Benn has had some choice words for Brook as he plots his climb up the welterweight ratings.

"He was asking for £10million, I just thought, ‘Yeah alright mate good one, jog on’," said Benn when speaking to Mirror Fighting.

"The paydays are nice, most people would but I am building at this stage of my career. I'd rather world title eliminators over the big money fights. The big money fights will come in time, but I am chasing legacy.

"I’m not going to waste this time by waiting for Kell Brook to see if he wants to fight Amir Khan. I am on a good trajectory, and it is about securing myself as one of the most dangerous fighters in Britain which I believe I am. I also want to reach the top five in the world and that is my aim."
