Conor Benn has his sights set on some of boxing's biggest names ahead of his return on September 23 live on DAZN.
After 17 months away from the ring, Benn is finally back when he takes on Rodolfo Orozco on the undercard of Richardson Hitchins vs. Jose Zepeda.
If Benn is able to put on a show against Orozco, then there are number of options when it comes to who he could face next.
While Benn has cemented himself as a force at welterweight, he is someone who is also willing to move through the weight classes including middleweight where he could finally face Chris Eubank Jr.
Another name in and around that weight division which has been mentioned for Benn is former unified middleweight champion Gennadiy Golovkin, and Benn confirmed that he has discussed the possibility of making that fight with his team in an interview with Boxing Scene.
“There’s big names that have been mentioned. Golovkin’s name was mentioned. I’d take that fight," Benn said.
However, it is currently unknown as to what Golovkin's next move will be after losing to Saul "Canelo" Alvarez last year, therefore arranging a fight with Kazakh will be easier said than done.
