Chris Eubank Jr.’s promoter all but ruled out the chances of his fighter meeting Conor Benn in the ring.
The two had been set to meet at the tail end of 2022, but the clash had to be called off, and it has yet to be rearranged.
With the family rivalry a huge selling point, one day they might be tempted to get back in negotiations, but for now, Benn is pursuing a career in America at welterweight, while Eubank might be moving up to super middleweight to meet undisputed superstar Canelo Alvarez.
With that in mind, and Eubank’s world title ambitions, Shalom discussed the chances of Eubank vs. Benn going ahead in the short term.
He told BoxingScene: “There are no discussions around Conor Benn.”
