Paul has gotten under the skin of the UFC President in 2021 by challenging him and some of the UFC's biggest stars after being victorious over Ben Askren and his first fight versus Tyron Woodley. Paul also has called out White to pay his athletes better as fighter pay has been a bone of contention for quite some time. White hadn't taken the bait, declining each time to let his fighters crossover and saying they are getting paid fairly. Everything came to a head after Paul's sixth-round knockout win in the Woodley rematch a few weeks back when "The Problem Child" laid down the gauntlet once again

"I just knocked out a five-time UFC champion and embarrassed your whole company," Paul said with his statement directed at White. "Please let me get [UFC welterweight champion] Kamaru Usman. Please let me get Diaz. Please let me get Masvidal. Please let me get [Conor] McGregor because I'm going to embarrass them, too. I promise you, Dana."
White remained quiet until the final week of 2021, appearing on Teddy Atlas's podcast, The Fight with Teddy Atlas. When asked for a response to Paul's latest challenge regarding Masvidal and Diaz since they were attending for the fight, White gave the expected response.
“No [that’s not happening],” White said. “You notice he wants to f—ing fight everybody that’s not in his weight class, guys that are older and all of this other bulls—. Go find a boxer. Go hump somebody else’s leg, you goofball.”
