Daniel Dubois was convinced he had been "cheated" out of a victory against Oleksandr Usyk.
Dubois fought last night in Wroclaw, Poland, as the mandatory challenger to the Ukrainian world heavyweight unified champion.
On the line were the IBF, WBO and WBA belts and ultimately Usyk stopped his British opponent in the ninth round.
However before then, in the fifth, Usyk collapsed on all fours, and then took several minutes sitting against the ropes as he was allowed to recover from a low blow, ruled by the fight referee.
However many observers, including Dubois' coach Don Charles and his promoter Frank Warren, disputed that there was anything wrong with Dubois' effort, which struck the incumbent's waistband.
Speaking in the ring after his defeat, the beaten 25-year-old was certain he was on the wrong end of the decision.
“I didn't think it was a low blow, I’ve been cheated out of victory," Dubois said on TNT Sports Box Office.
"What else can I say? I’ve been cheated out, but I’ve got to come again.”
