One fighter is aware of the danger Dubois poses.

British heavyweight Johnny Fisher is backing Anthony Joshua to beat Daniel Dubois next month, but he has sent a warning to the two-time world heavyweight champion.

Joshua will face Dubois for the IBF heavyweight title on September 21 live on DAZN, with the winner looking to challenge the winner of the rematch between Oleksandr Usyk and Tyson Fury.

With both men showcasing impressive punching power during their previous outings, many are expecting a thrilling contest and one which is likely to not go the full 12-round distance.

With Joshua being the more accomplished fighter, he is the favourite ahead of the opening bell at Wembley Stadium, however Fisher, who has sparred Dubois, had plenty of praise for Dubois' punching power.

"[I am] definitely [favouring] Anthony Joshua but not by the margin that people expect. I reckon it is like a 55/60 to a 40/45 split in favour of Anthony Joshua," Fisher told Seconds Out

"Dubois can seriously whack, I have sparred him loads, his right-hand’s can shake to your absolute core. I remember when I got hit by one, it was like an electric shock going through my body.

"The jab of Dubois as well, it’s like a right-hand. Although I can’t speak about sparring Anthony Joshua, I know that Dubois ain’t no joke and coming off of great wins over Jarrell Miller and Filip Hrgovic, who had been the bogeyman for the last two/three years, to deal with him [is impressive].”

Joshua and Dubois headline a huge card in London which also features former world champion Josh Warrington and British light heavyweight Joshua Buatsi.
