Daniel Dubois vs. Jarrell Miller - Former trainer of Dubois breaks down heavyweight clash

Daniel Dubois vs. Jarrell Miller - Former trainer of Dubois breaks down heavyweight clashDAZN
Daniel Dubois and Jarrell Miller are set to go at it.

Shane McGuigan is fully aware of the threat posed by Daniel Dubois and he’s hopeful his former fighter can be successful against Jarrell Miller later this month.

McGuigan guided Dubois to a version of the heavyweight crown, but he was replaced by Don Charles when the Londoner lost to Oleksandr Usyk back in August.

Dubois had one big moment in the Usyk fight when he thought he dropped the Ukrainian with a body shot, but the punch was called low by the referee and Dubois was punished later in the fight.

He now has the chance to get back to winning ways against the controversial New Yorker, and Dubois' former trainer has had his say on the fight.

“The only thing I question with Daniel is how’s he going to come back from this [Usyk] loss. If he hadn’t have dropped Usyk with that body shot, he wouldn’t be crying robbery,” said McGuigan when speaking to Pro Boxing Fans

“He’d be thinking ‘s--t I got overwhelmed, beaten up and dropped by a guy that’s not a massive puncher.’”

“He’s fighting a guy who talks a lot of s--t. Daniel doesn’t like confrontation, and I hope for Daniel’s sake that he realises it doesn’t mean nothing. Just get in the ring and do your thing. If Don Charles installs that confidence, I think he wins.”
