Quite the comparison.

Danny Aarons is psyched about taking on former Premier League player Danny Simpson in the X Series 017 main event this weekend.

But there's another boxer on the DAZN card that Aarons is really looking forward to seeing in Dublin, Ireland, and he's comparing him to a global fighting superstar.

"Ben Williams, man, for me," Aarons said during the media workout posted on Misfits Boxing's YouTube page Wednesday. "I think that's what most people are going to, at least here in Ireland, he's going to be ... bro, he's the Conor McGregor of Misfits."

Aarons added: "One-hundred percent — he's going to be loved here. I think he's absolutely going to smash his fight."

Much like McGregor does in star-studded MMA fights, Williams is promising fireworks of his own against Warren Spencer on Saturday night.

"We're going to stand in the center of that ring and brawl in front of 13,000 people," Williams told Spencer face-to-face during a Truth or Dare session posted on Misfits Boxing's YouTube page. "At the end of it, you're going to be left on the canvas."

He added: "I'm going to stand, I'm going to point to the middle of the ring and say 'let's go, hands up.' Are you ready for that?"
