The only fight that stands out for Andy Ruiz is a showdown with Deontay Wilder at some point next year.
The heavyweight rivals, both former world champions, are eager to return to the very top of the division and the victor of a potential meeting would be in pole position to launch a challenge for a big opportunity.
Ruiz burst onto the scene in 2019 when causing one of the biggest shocks of the modern era when upsetting Anthony Joshua in New York City.
Although he lost an immediate rematch to the Brit, Ruiz has rebuilt slowly, and his father insists that he’s ready for a fight with Wilder.
“We have until December to decide who he's going to fight. But Wilder is the one we want," said Andres Ruiz Sr. when speaking to Izquierdazo.
"I think Wilder wants [Oleksandr] Usyk or [Anthony] Joshua, he said he was not interested, but we hope the fight will take place because they are going to make it a mandatory,"
