Carl Froch is expecting Deontay Wilder to produce a highlight reel knockout when he faces Joseph Parker next month.
Wilder will return to the ring after 14 months inactivity and he’ll be facing a stern test, as he goes in with the former WBO heavyweight champion on the same bill that sees Anthony Joshua face Otto Wallin.
If Wilder and Joshua emerge from their bouts successfully then it’s expected that pair will clash in the early part of 2024.
Froch, a decorated fighter at 168lbs, believes that Parker has plenty of qualities but he’s still expecting Wilder to get the job done when they clash on December 23.
“I think Wilder does do the business against Joseph Parker,” said Froch when speaking on his Froch on Fighting YouTube channel.
“Joseph Parker is always a capable fighter. He’s got that loss to Dillian Whyte, he’s been in a couple of close fights, obviously Anthony Joshua’s already beaten him.
“I would expect Deontay Wilder to probably beat Parker in style. Knock him out.”
