Who will Chisora face next?

Derek Chisora’s next fight could be another high profile one after Jarrell Miller revealed he’s in talks to face the British veteran.

Chisora scored a huge win earlier this year when he floored Joe Joyce before winning on the scorecards against the 2016 Olympic silver medalist.

After the win, Chisora insisted that he wanted to carry on fighting, and it appears that a showdown with the brash American could be next.

This past summer, Miller faced Andy Ruiz, and he produced a solid display, but had to settle for a draw despite the majority of the boxing community believing the New Yorker had done enough to win.

Miller has plenty of experience with British heavyweights after facing Daniel Dubois in 2023 and also being a long-term rival of Anthony Joshua.

Ngannou v Ferreira

Miller would likely be eager to test himself against both Dubois and Joshua, and a win over Chisora could potentially open the door for those lucrative showdowns.

“It’s not locked in yet; the deal is not signed yet. But there are definitely talks. We don’t have the arena locked down yet, but it’s looking like Manchester in January,” said Miller when speaking to BoxingScene

“I love it. I think it’s a great fight. I don’t think it’s an easy one, but I think it’s a win. I’ve gotta go in there and beat my boy up.”

“I’ve a level of respect for Chisora. I like him, as much as I like Andy [Ruiz], so hopefully I can fight him. I told people, ‘If Chisora’s in shape, and his chin can stand up, I think he can beat Joe Joyce; Joe Joyce is very slow, he’s not very active, and so Derek could get rid of him’.

“Chisora’s a little past his prime, but sometimes an old dog got tricks, man. He’s an old dog that got tricks.”
