Derek Chisora says Dillian Whyte might want it more than Tyson Fury as his former rivals prepare to clashDAZN
Dillian Whyte and Tyson Fury could fight in April.

Dillian Whyte’s hunger will be a huge asset when he faces Tyson Fury later this year. That’s the verdict of Derek Chisora, who’s probably the most qualified man to speak on both fighters after sharing the ring with both of them on two occasions.

Chisora was outpointed by Fury in 2011 before being stopped by the same man four years later. In 2016 ‘Delboy’ aimed to settle a domestic grudge with Whyte but fell agonisingly short on the scorecards. His efforts to settle the score in 2018 were also thwarted as Whyte stopped his fellow Londoner in the fight’s penultimate round. The former world title challenger thinks Whyte could want it more than Fury.

"He [Whyte] wants it, he's hungry,” said Chisora when speaking to Behind the Gloves .

"The problem is yeah, when fighters make £20, £30, or £40 million, they're not hungry anymore. There's only one fighter who has ever been hungry when he's made £100 million and that's Floyd Mayweather.

"When the rest of the fighters make all this money, they're not hungry anymore, they just do it for the sake of doing it.

"When someone who is hungry and wants it more, like Dillian right now, he's going to come in and die in that ring that day."
