WBC world super lightweight champion Regis Prograis is unsure as to whether Devin Haney has the power to compete at 140lbs.
The pair will meet in a huge all-American matchup on December 9 live on DAZN and DAZN PPV in what should be an intriguing contest.
For Haney, who once held all four world titles at lightweight, this fight is step into unknown territory as he moves up in weight.
Prograis meanwhile is a seasoned campaigner at 140lbs and is a two-time champion in this weight class, and while Haney is one of the world's best pound-for-pound talents, the New Orleans man doubts whether he will have any significant punching power come the first bell at the Chase Center in San Francisco.
"I don’t think Devin is strong," Prograis told The DAZN Boxing Show.
"This will just come down to a mental battle, that’s all. I don’t think physically he is strong.
"But at the same time, I’m going to respect his power because I haven’t tasted it yet, I don’t know how hard he hits.
"I’m training like he got big power."
