Dmitry Bivol appears to be on a collision course with Artur Beterbeiv with a fight speculated for next year, and he’s paid respect to his rival's power ahead of a potential meeting.
Both men are currently the leading fighters at 175lbs and the winner of any bout between the pair would crown an undisputed champion at light heavyweight.
Beterbiev faces Callum Smith in January as he looks to maintain his flawless stoppage streak and if he beats the Liverpool man, a contest with Bivol could be next.
The WBA champion’s next move is still unconfirmed, but he’s had his say on Beterbiev and his impressive attribute.
“The fight against Beterbiev is a great fight, to be honest,” said Bivol when speaking to FightHub.
“For me, as an athlete, I see him as a great fighter. He’s a very big puncher, the biggest puncher in boxing today, not just in the light-heavyweight weight-class.
“For me, it is interesting to check my skills against an opponent like him.”
