Dmitry Bivol is in a buoyant mood following his points win against Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez on Saturday night and rightly so.
The WBA light-heavyweight champion dominated in front of a packed T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, and is now linked with a rematch despite plans to become the undisputed champion at 175lbs.
If the opportunity to face Canelo for a second time does arise, Bivol stated that he wants to be awarded with what he deserves when it comes to contract negotiations.
“First of all, my dream is to be the undisputed champion,” Bivol said at the post-fight press conference.
“And I got this opportunity to fight against the best guy and I took this fight on terms of getting the opportunity. That’s all I cared about. And I appreciate the opportunity that was given to me. And right now, my goal is to receive what I deserve.
"If the rematch is gonna happen, I just have to make sure that I get what I deserve because I don’t think that in the previous fight, as a champion, I got what I deserved.”
