Despite losing in his bid to become a three-time world champion, there will still be plenty on the cards for the former London 2012 gold medalist.

Anthony Joshua is set for an "interesting" 2025, says promoter Eddie Hearn, with the Briton still under contract for another Riyadh Season bout after his loss to Daniel Dubois.

The former two-time world champion was floored in front of 96,000 fans at Wembley Stadium, as his bid for the IBF heavyweight title ended in a fifth-round knockout.

Hopes had been high that pre-fight favourite Joshua would have earned a undisputed bout with either Oleksandr Usyk or Tyson Fury had he made history and won.

But after the 34-year-old vowed to fight on despite a fourth career loss, Hearn suggested that an exciting year may still be in store for the former London 2012 gold medalist.

"We have another fight with Riyadh Season," Hearn said. "Turki Al-Sheikh and Daniel Dubois is part of that plan

"But so too could be Tyson Fury or another heavyweight. I think that 2025 is going to be an interesting year for Anthony Joshua, one way or another.

"He will definitely be back and whether it's against Daniel Dubois, Tyson Fury, whoever, you're going to be entertained."
