Eddie Hearn believes that Tyson Fury is not certain to beat Derek Chisora this Saturday.

Chisora faced calls to retire over the last year after two defeats to Joseph Parker but he rallied to a comeback win over Kubrat Pulev.

That steadied the ship for the 38-year-old’s reputation and Fury plumped for his fellow Briton for his own return to the ring, having previously retired after an April victory against Dillian Whyte in a title defence.

Chisora has twice lost to WBC heavyweight Fury but now finds himself in with a chance of winning the first world title of his career.

Speaking to Fight Hype, Hearn gave Chisora his full support, while acknowledging he is far from the favourite.

“I think Del Boy is a gem,” he said.

“He’s got one of the biggest hearts in boxing, he’s a great man, he’ll always give it everything.

“Of course, on paper, Fury’s beaten him twice. People are not expecting Chisora to have a chance in the fight. But don’t rule Derek out. He’s got a huge heart and he’s a warrior.

“I’d love to see him chin Tyson Fury.”
