Eddie Hearn explains Dillian Whyte silence: Go and try and knock him outDAZN
The Matchroom promoter explains that the interim champion is keeping his head down.

Eddie Hearn claimed that Dillian Whyte is keeping quiet so that he can focus on the challenge at hand: a world title shot against WBC champion Tyson Fury.

Fury has been his usual self on social media of late, aiming barbs at most major figures in the heavyweight division, whereas the mandatory challenger has kept himself to himself with a fight due between the pair.

Whyte’s promoter Eddie Hearn spoke to MMA Hour and said he saw no problem with Whyte’s approach.

"He's just chilled and training," Hearn said.

"There's a way to deal with Fury and sometimes going on the quiet side is a decent... Do you really want to get in a slanging match with Fury and use all that energy?

"Do your work, do your training and go and try and knock him out. There are no conversations about another direction, this is the only direction, this is the fight.”
