Conor Benn's promoter Eddie Hearn has given an update on a potential fight with Gervonta Davis.
Benn got his 2024 off to a winning start with a hard-fought victory over Peter Dobson in Las Vegas on February 3.
Since his hand got raised, Benn has had his sights set on some of the sport's biggest names, including the dangerous "Tank" Davis.
Now this fight has taken a step closer to being made after Hearn sent an offer to Davis for a matchup with Benn, and speaking to iFL TV following Reece Bellotti's win over Liam Dillon on Saturday night, the promoter had the following to say on how negotiations were progressing.
"We’ve made 'Tank' an offer, it’s a big offer and there’s a lot of upsides on pay-per-view and gate that I think he needs to explore as well," Hearn said.
"It’s not really a fight I anticipated, but I think it’s a fight that could happen.
"If we can just be sensible and sit down and talk through numbers, I think there’s enough money in the pot to keep everybody happy."
