    The potential comeback of Wladimir Klitschko continues to be a big talking point in the boxing world as the seemingly retired Ukrainian ponders his next move. 

    Up until a few weeks ago, Klitschko appeared content away from boxing, but speculation has intensified that the former world champion wants to fight again with Tyson Fury the rumoured opponent. 

    At the peak of his powers, Klitschko ruled out the heavyweight division for almost a decade before he was outpointed by Fury in Germany. 

    As well as securing multiple world titles in many high-profile fights, Klitschko was also an excellent amateur who took Olympic gold at the 1996 Olympics.

    In 2017, Klitschko travelled to Wembley Stadium in London, but he was defeated by Anthony Joshua in a thrilling encounter that he almost won. 

    That remains the last time he fought, almost eight years ago, and Eddie Hearn, the promoter of that fight, has had his say on whether Klitschko should return to action. 

    “Wladimir’s bright enough to make his own decision. I think he’s had a long time out of the ring since the Anthony Joshua fight, but he’s kept himself in tremendous physical condition,” said Hearn when speaking to BetFred . 

    “It wasn’t as if Wladimir looked terrible in that fight. He almost beat AJ. However, I do believe it would be difficult to come back, but he’s a very strong man, a great man and whatever decision he makes, I’m sure it’ll be the right one for him.”
