Eddie Hearn is confident that Anthony Joshua will get the job done against Francis Ngannou next month, but he’s admitted to being ‘nervous’ about the fight.
Hearn has been Joshua’s promoter since day one of his professional career and the Ngannou fight has the potential to be the biggest banana skin of them all.
Joshua has looked impressive recently after rebuilding his career following two losses to Oleksandr Usyk, and he must maintain that form against Ngannou if he’s to secure further big fights.
Hearn has hopes for his man to be involved in battles against Tyson Fury, but Ngannou is up next and the Matchroom boss has spoken about the fight.
“I’m always nervous about every AJ fight, especially that one. It’s the unknown, isn’t it?” said Hearn when speaking to iFLTV.
“We know more than we did and that he [Ngannou] was a lot better than we thought he would be, which was a very capable boxer and very strong and hits very hard and has no fear.”
