The two-time world champion is set for a huge contest.

Promoter Eddie Hearn has given an update on who Anthony Joshua could be facing in his next fight.

Daniel Dubois appears to be the frontrunner after he stopped Filip Hrgovic last weekend and it was a contest which Joshua was ringside for.

One thing which Hearn wants clarified is whether the IBF heavyweight title, currently held by Oleksandr Usyk, will become vacant with the mandatory for this particular belt due.

Dubois' victory over Hrgovic made him the mandatory challenger for the IBF belt, but with Usyk set to face Tyson Fury in a rematch later this year, there is a chance the Ukrainian could be stripped of his title, therefore a chance to become a three-time world champion could present itself to Joshua.

Speaking to Boxing News, Hearn named two other opponents who could also be facing Joshua next if a clash with Dubois cannot be made for later this year.

"Nothing really, there’s nothing decided on AJ’s next fight," Hearn responded when asked about an update on Joshua's next outing.

"I’ve seen Zhang on the list, I’ve seen Parker on the list, Dubois’ obviously on the list. The aim for AJ is to recapture the world heavyweight title.

"So if there’s an opportunity to fight for the IBF title, then Daniel Dubois will definitely be a frontrunner for that fight.

"But we’ll speak to His Excellency, make the right decision for AJ’s career. There’s a press conference on June 26, don’t expect any news probably before that, I think that’s when there will be an official announcement.

"I never want to narrow it down to a list, but I think those three are definitely the frontrunners."
