Eddie Hearn is hopeful he can make a big fight at 140lbs later this year featuring Liam Paro and Devin Haney.
The Australian produced one of the biggest shocks of the year when he defeated Subriel Matias in Puerto Rico, and his reward could be a showdown with Haney.
Back in April, Haney was dropped three times by Ryan Garcia when losing on points, but the result was later changed to a ‘No Contest’ after Garcia failed a drug test.
Haney is fully aware of what it takes to go to Australia and win thanks to his series with George Kambosos, and he could be back down under again.
“It’s a good fight. It’s a fight that Devin thinks he can win. Obviously, he can come back,” said Hearn when speaking to BoxingScene.
“It’s a fight that Liam would like as well. Devin’s got a good profile in Australia with those two Kambosos fights. So, it could be an option.
“I spoke to him [Thursday] night, and he says if the deal’s right, I don’t think he’d have a problem going."
