Edgar Berlanga is eager to put a show on this weekend as he knows a huge showdown could be next if he looks impressive.
The unbeaten Puerto Rican faces Padraig McCrory in Florida on Saturday, and a win could open the door for potential fights with Canelo Alvarez and Jaime Munguia.
Super-middleweight is one of the most interesting weight classes as things stand and a number of possibilities could exist for Berlanga in 2024.
The heavy-handed fighter is fully aware of his surroundings, and he’s had his say on what the future might hold.
“You’ve got Canelo and Munguia at that weight and those two fights right there are just massive for boxing,” said Berlanga when speaking to Mirror Sports US.
“You’ve got true Mexicans and a true Puerto Rican, and the rivalry for those fights is insane with Mexico vs Puerto Rico. I know they are looking at me and I know they are going to be tuned in Saturday.”
