WBO junior featherweight world champion Emanuel Navarrete will defend his title for the third time, as he has been added to the Tyson Fury-Otto Wallin undercard on Saturday, Sept. 14 in Las Vegas.

Navarrete (28-1, 24 KOs) will fight Filipino Juan Miguel Elorde (28-1, 15 KOs) as the co-feature to Fury's second consecutive fight in Vegas.

The fight lands on Mexican Independence Day weekend, a date that carries plenty of significance to Navarrete.

"I am very excited and proud to be part of the big card in Las Vegas at T-Mobile Arena and to defend my title in front of my people on such a special date for my beloved Mexico,” Navarrete said in a press release.

“We will represent the Mexican flag on the biggest stage in boxing.”

Navarrete won his title last December with an upset win over Isaac Dogboe, and carries a 23-fight win streak dating back to 2012.

The challenger Elorde is on a lengthy unbeaten streak of his own, with 18 consecutive wins since his last loss eight years ago.

Elorde would be the first junior featherweight champion from the Philippines since Nonito Donaire.

"Trust me, I will bring my special brand of Pinoy Power to Las Vegas," Elorde said. "The title will come home to the Philippines."

Also on the undercard is former two-weight world champion Jose Pedraza (26-2, 13 KOs), who will fight Jose Zepeda (30-2, 25 KOs).
