Unified welterweight champion Errol Spence Jr. did not hold back at Thursday's press conference for the undisputed showdown with Terence Crawford on Saturday night.
The pair faced the world's media ahead of the Las Vegas showpiece in what became a heated verbal spar.
Both Spence and Crawford are not known for being the most vocal fighters, but the magnitude of this contest seems to have brought the fighting spirit out of 'The Truth' ahead of the first bell.
“I’m gonna win because I’m the better fighter. I’m better physically and mentally. I’m more durable. I’m gonna break him down and break his will," Spence said.
“He’s gonna find out that my skills are superior. He’s talented, but when we talk about what my coach teaches, he’s gonna see that I have great offense, defense and stamina. It’s more than just talent."
Whoever emerges victorious this weekend will not only be the number one fighter at 147lbs, but also be considered the world's best in the pound-for-pound rankings.
