"Showtime" wasn't there for Spence entertaining a fight with Danny Garcia over him.

Errol Spence Jr. just had his hand raised in a split-decision in nothing short of a war with Shawn Porter when Danny Garcia entered the ring and tried to leverage a bout with the newly crowned unified IBF/WBC welterweight champion of the world.

"The Truth" handled Garcia's presence in the ring cordially, but said during the post-fight news conference that he'd be more interested in fighting fellow welterweight champs Manny Pacquiao or Terence Crawford, saying he'd fight Garcia only if he can't get either of those bouts made first. He even sat at the podium Saturday night at Staples Center Angeles and entertained the possibility of moving up to 154 pounds to face WBA junior middleweight champion Julian Williams.

Porter, listening along, wasn't having any of it, especially the thought of Spence fighting Garcia. Remember, Porter defeated Garcia by unanimous decision in September 2018. So, "Showtime" whispered "Rematch," "Make the rematch" and "Did you say rematch?" while Spence talked about his next fight.

That was after Porter's father and trainer, Kenny Porter, expressed that they want the rematch down the line with Spence, understanding if he takes a fight or two before it.

"We want all the rematches," Kenny Porter said. "Errol is a great fighter and these guys need each other to be great. He moves on to the next one and I expect him fully to be successful as he moves on to the next guy he fights.

"It's not over," he added. "There's another great fight in Shawn."

Although Porter and Spence left with the utmost respect for each other, the news conference ended with both fighters having a rather entertaining war of words over their status in boxing.
