The ongoing saga that is a potential fight between Errol Spence and Terence Crawford is still no closer to being resolved.
Crawford retained his world title last month with a stoppage win over David Avanesyan, a result shrouded in controversy due to the American claiming victory with his gloves severely damaged.
Immediately following the fight, the attention once again turned to one of the biggest contests in boxing that would pit the world's leading welterweights against each other.
The highly rated pair have been linked to each other for numerous years, but Derrick James, the trainer of Spence, still can't provide a definitive answer on whether the fight will take place.
“I don’t know,” said James when speaking as a recent guest on Brian Custer’s Last Stand Podcast.
“I think that it may not happen because, remember, his perspective of who he is [different] than what the numbers say, and those things are not going to add up.
“He shouldn’t think any less of himself but, in reality, you have to understand what the market says, and the market says no.”
