Fabio Wardley is looking to call on the memory of his "fantastic win" in Riyadh last year as he returns to Saudi Arabia on "unfinished business" against Frazer Clarke.
The Briton was held to a a draw by his rival when the pair met at London's O2 Arena in March, and they now face a rematch on the undercard of Artur Beterbiev vs. Dmitry Bivol on October 12.
The bout is anticipated to be one of the biggest of the night at Riyadh's Kingdom Arena, but it marks a return to Riyadh Season for Wardley, having fought there one year prior.
Then, the four-belt heavyweight scored a seventh-round victory over David Adeleye and speaking ahead of next month's clash, hopes to deliver more of the same.
"It’s a good place for me," he told a press conference. "Good memories. I’ve had some good times there. We know Riyadh is a good place for me.
"It was a fantastic win for me last time I was there, so I am looking to put on a clean, clinical knockout performance again this time around."
Wardley acknowledged that he could have taken another challenger rather than return to Clarke, but admitted he did not want to leave the result between them hanging too.
"I have options, but there was some unfinished business there," he added. "There were some bits to settle. I’m not the type of person to leave things to lie. I want it finished off.
"I want it done, I want that chapter ticked off to move forwards. Whilst we played around with a few other options, realistically the only real thing was to finish off Frazer."
