Robert Garcia was not impressed with Tyson Fury’s recent showing against Francis Ngannou and he does not give the current WBC champion much chance against Oleksandr Usyk.
Fury was dropped by the former UFC superstar in their crossover meeting last month and he was very fortunate to claim victory via split decision.
The plan for Fury now is to head straight into an undisputed battle with Usyk that was originally set to take place on December 23.
That bout now appears to be taking place in the early stages of 2024 and Garcia, Anthony Joshua’s previous trainer, is backing the magical Ukrainian to defeat Fury and unify the division.
“He looked like s**t [against Ngannou],” said Garcia when speaking to ESNews.
“I think Usyk’s gonna slap him around. He’s not gonna touch Usyk, I guarantee you.”
